Cowboys on a tear, take five of last seven

Last Monday, June 24, the Cowboys hosted Iowa Falls-Alden and won 12-3. Tyler Stein, Reed Abbas, Brier Boyd and Meteo Martinez all had two hits each, with Abbas driving in two runs and Martinez one. Cael Chase smashed a grand slam to bring in four runs, with a Nate Rapp base hit driving in two. Stein crossed the dish three times and Martinez twice.

Boyd earned the win on the hill, giving up only one earned run on three hits over 6 1/3 innings. He allowed four walks and flamed six K’s across the plate.

On Tuesday at Ganer-Hayfield/Ventura, they defeated the Cardinals by a 10-6 final. That game was highlighted by both Abbas and Rapp sending a grand slam each over the fence. Abbas would finish 5 for 5, with both Stein and Rapp going 2 for 4. Abbas crossed the dish three times, and Stein and Martinez twice each.
