Cowboys lose 36-13 contest at SE Valley

Despite 225 yards of offense from Jaace Weidemann alone, it was still a tough go last Friday night in Gowrie as the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows varsity lost 26-13 to Southeast Valley. The Cowboys scored on a 43-yard scamper by Weidemann, along with a 20-yard TD pass from him to Mateo Martinez. Christian Gaytan kicked an extra point for the final tally.

Weidemann had 32 carries for a 5.6-yard average. He was joined in rushing yardage by Nate Rapp with 35 yards on 10 attempts and Reed Abbas with 23 yards on four carries. Carter Dietz added five yards, Trenton Jergenson three yards and Sam Johnson one yard. Weidemann was three of seven under center for 35 yards and a TD pass. Martinez caught two balls for 47 total yards (23.5-yard average), with Jergenson catching one for nine yards and Rapp one for six.
