Last Thursday in Eagle Grove, it was a fun night for the Cowboy baseball team as the ball seemed to be much bigger coming across the plate as it actually is. The result of that was a 14-2 win over the Eagles, with Nate Rapp belting a homerun and a triple and finishing with six total RBI. Cael Chase and Preston Gardner both ripped doubles, with each getting two RBI for the night. Tyler Stein and Chase both had three-hit nights, Reed Abbas and Rapp two-hit nights and Brier Boyd, Gardner, Nevan Foss and Mateo Martinez all made contact once each.

Bryce Brinkman took the win, allowing one earned run on four hits over six innings with four K’s. Boyd also saw duty.

“A really good showing by our entire team,” said head skipper Nick Willwerth.
