Cowboys football falls to Bulldogs

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows football team lost a tough 33-0 game to visiting Hampton-Dumont/CAL last Friday night. Shane Conlon completed four of 17 for 62 yards, with two of those throws caught by Mateo Martinez for 61 of those. Cole Lindaman caught the other pass. Trenton Jergenson rushed for seven yards, Lindaman and Kain Nelson five yards each, Martinez four yards, Nevan Foss three yards and Rigo Bobadilla one yard.

Nelson punted eight times for a 39.8-yard average, with Martinez returning two punts for a nine yard average. Martinez returned three kicks for a 13.0-yard average, Bryce Allen one kick for 21 yards and Conlon one kick for 15 yards.

Damien Bjorklund, Nelson, Jergenson and Martinez all had three solo tackles each, with Bjorklund making six assists, Nelson five and Jergenson three.
