Cowboys football drop season finale to Estherville-LC

The Cowboys hosted Estherville-Lincoln Central in their final game of the season, and found a bit more offense on this night though still not near enough in a 54-22 loss to the Midgets.

Nevan Foss had a busy night in gaining 142 yards on 42 attempts with a touchdown. Kain Nelson managed 81 yards on five attempts with a touchdown. Cole Lindaman made 51 yards on just two totes of the pigskin, while Rafael Jimenez managed 13 yards on four carries. Shane Conlon added eight yards, Mateo Martinez four yards, Cale Kirstein two yards and Ethan Traub one yard in support.

Traub was 3 of 4 for 18 yards under center, and threw a nine-yard TD pass. Conlon went incomplete in three attempts with two picks. Lindaman caught the touchdown, with Kirstein catching a pass for five yards and Nelson one for four yards. Conlon scored on a two-point conversion.

Nelson punted four times for a 21.5-yard average, with Foss returning a punt for 24 yards. Martinez had four kickoff returns for a 12.5-yard average, with Clinton Miller running back one for eight yards and Caleb Krueger one for seven yards.
