Cowboys drop final home game to Osage

While it’s not exactly the way that the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows varsity football team would like to have finished their district schedule, the main thing on their minds was that they still have locked in a spot in the Class 2A state playoff bracket.

While they did get a surprise from the Osage Green Devils in a 37-21 loss, they will be ready to again enter playoff action and hopefully put together a deep run into the postseason.

“Obviously the outcome was a disappointment, but fortunately it didn’t change anything regarding the final standings or our playoff path,” said head coach Paul Hansch.
