Cowboys basketball has trouble in two recent road games

On Thursday, January 31, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys traveled to Webster City and lost 67-33 to the Lynx. The home team took a 42-16 lead into the locker room. Connor State finished with 12 points on 4 of 7 from the field. Jaace Weidemann scored seven points, Blake Jackson five points and Clinton Miller three points. Christian Gaytan, Jaxon Carpenter and Kaden Bricker all added a bucket each to the total.

State also cleaned the glass for five rebounds, with Dalton Nesheim at three and Jackson and Caleb Krueger at two each. Alec Martin, Miller and Bricker all came up with one apiece. Gaytan dished up three assists, with Nesheim, Coady Olson, Miller, Krueger, Nate Rapp and Weidemann all at one each. Martin picked off two steals, with Jackson, Nesheim, Gaytan and State all at one apiece. Miller and State had a blocked shot each.
