Congregations come together to hope in Dows

A priest and three reverends walked into a bar.

It sounds like the beginnings of a joke, but it's actually the origin of the 2019 Hope Conference, which took place in Dows on Saturday, June 29.

The program was spearheaded by Reverend Dan Hanson of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton, Reverend Laurel Meester of First Lutheran Church in Dows, her husband Reverend Chris Meester of the Dumont Reformed Church, and Father Kevin Earleywine of Hampton's St. Patrick's Parish among other area parishes.
