Coach Sann releases final softball stats, all-conference picks

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows head softball coach Patty Stockman-Sann has now made her team’s final stats available, along with the North Central All-Conference selections for the past season.

The team finished 9-11 overall, with a 5-9 conference mark which was good for fifth in the overall standings. Humboldt took the title with a 13-1 record, followed by Webster City at 10-4 and both Hampton-Dumont and Iowa Falls-Alden at 8-6. The Cowgirls tied with Clear Lake for second place in the Pride Division. Three players were honored with spots on the All-Conference Teams. Maddie Disney and Hannah TerHark both earned selection to the First Team, with Sydney TerHark getting a nod to the Second Team.

As a team, the Cowgirls had 542 total at-bats to produce 107 runs on 136 hit. Among those connections were 17 doubles and two homeruns. A total of 80 RBI were produced. There were 10 sac fly’s, 32 walks taken and 57 steals in 66 attempts. The team batting average was .251, with a .293 slugging percentage.
