Clarion women wins state honors for pursuing her childhood passion

            Sarah Zwiefel says she has loved horses for her entire life, and when she was able to pursue that passion, she went for it full-force. Yet, even she admits that she was quite surprised recently when she got an email notifying her that she won a major honor with her horse Stewie. Zwiefel had won the 2018 Iowa Pinto Open Hi-Point award, and she couldn’t be happier.

            Zwiefel has been riding horses since she was a five-year-old living in Rochester, MN. She says, “I’ve always been a horse girl” and explains her mom’s passion for riding helped facilitate her own love of horses. She began taking riding lessons as a kid and got her very own horse for the first time when she was ten years old.
