Clarion continues with water supply enhancement project

While the bulk of Tuesday's regular meeting of the Clarion City Council was dominated by discussion of a proposed amendment to the city ordinance, there was still other business on the agenda to be attended.

At the meeting the council was advised to delay awarding a contract for the city's Water Supply Enhancement Project, which includes a water main replacement and digging a new well for the city.

A bid has been received for the project, however public works director Jon DeVries advised waiting so that parts of the job can be re-bid to better fit the city's needs, possibly by bidding them out as separate jobs.
