CGD runs in district 2A qualifier

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows cross country teams traveled to Garner for a 2A state qualifier last Thursday. Crestwood (Cresco) took the girls team title with 64 points, followed in the top five of 14 teams by Waukon at 73, Aplington-Parkersburg at 96, Grundy Center/Gladbrook-Reinbeck at 107 and Eagle Grove at 138. The Cowgirls were 14th.

Raven Kinnetz took top honors on the team with a 23:45.91 for 49th overall. The rest of the finishes were: Natalie Kirstein in 27:35.01 for 87th; Kathy Lopez in 27:37.00 for 88th; Jackie Lopez in 28:25.26 for 90th; Jade LaRue in 28:27.86 for 91st; Kylie Klaver in 28:30.07 for 92nd and Quinn Hansch in 29:36.32 for 93rd.
