C-G-D Middle School works to “Bridge the Gap” with special evening

The Peer Helpers love hosting and helping with the night and find it a valuable experience. Helper Kennedy Trea said, “It’s a good night to let kids experience the fun of talking to someone older than them and shortens the age gap between us.” Pictured is one of the many activities that night- cookie decorating led by Kylee Lamb. Sponsored by the student Peer Helpers, Bridging the Gap is a fun night for seniors that helps to connect them to the youth of the community. In addition to a pork sandwich meal, made possible by donations from the Clarion Ruritans, visitors enjoyed bingo, crafts and games, prizes donated by dozens of local businesses, music, and a dance performance at the end of the night. It was an evening of food, prizes, and intergenerational fun.
