C-G-D Middle School student starts “compliment wall” to uplift her fellow students

            These days, it is not uncommon to see schools concerned with bullying. We hear about it in the news often and several sad cases have provoked public discussions of bullying in the last few years. So it is refreshing to learn that not only are schools taking action on this issue, but individual students are doing their part to uplift their fellow students. This is exactly what is taking place at Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Middle School thanks to the initiative of one student.

            7th grader Keely Johnson recently approached the school administration with an idea. She wanted to start a “compliment wall” where middle schoolers could post feel-good messages to their fellow students. Not surprisingly, the administration was all for it!
