Michael J. Snively, 52, formerly of Clarion, passed away in Vancouver, Washington.  

Celebration of life service for Michael J. Snively will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion. 

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Linda L. (Bundy) Funte, 74, of Clarion passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022 at her home in Clarion.

Funeral services for Linda Funte will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 3, 2022 at the Clarion Church of Christ, 420 North Main Street in Clarion, with Pastor Warren Curry officiating.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.

Visitation for Linda Funte will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion.

Donna M. Hill, 81 of rural Clarion, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion.

Funeral services for Donna Hill will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion, with Father Jerry Blake officiating.  Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in rural Woolstock.

Visitation for Donna Hill will be held from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Ewing Funeral Home in Clarion.

Olga M. (Foss) Beach, 97, of Dows, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at First Lutheran Church, 206 West Ellsworth Street in Dows with Pastor Laurel Meester officiating. Burial will be held at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, rural Dows.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Hermie Nelson, 89, of Augusta, Kansas and formerly of Clarion, Iowa, passed away with family by his side on Monday, September 5, 2022 at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion.  Private graveside services will be held at a later date.

Funeral services for Brandon Zigrang will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at The Red Shed Event Center, 908 2nd Street North West in Clarion with Father Jerry Blake and Deacon Dr. Michael Whitters officiating.

Visitation will take place from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at The Red Shed on Saturday.

Burial will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Calvary Cemetery in Eagle Grove.

Funeral services for Ella Gangestad will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Holmes Lutheran Church, 2139 Hancock Avenue, rural Clarion with Pastor George Lautner officiating.  

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Betty Lou Thompson, 91, of Clarion, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022. 

Funeral services followed by a luncheon for Betty Thompson will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Holmes Lutheran Church, 2139 Hancock Avenue, rural Clarion with Pastor George Lautner officiating.  

Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service at the church, beginning at 9:30 AM.

Phyllis G. (Wiegand) Stockwell

Phyllis G. (Wiegand) Stockwell, 76, of Clarion, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, at her home in Clarion.

Private family services were held.

Phyllis Grace Stockwell was born on March 20, 1946 in Algona, Iowa to Grace and Maynard Wiegand. After high school, she began working in the ASCS office. She would eventually work in both the Algona and Clarion offices before retiring in 2008.
